Launched in 2020 and opening its doors in 2021, Black City Records is a record store run by metalheads, for metalheads. We are vinyl and audio enthusiasts with nearly 20 years experience in buying and selling vinyl, who bring our knowledge of metal, hi-fi and vinyl care together. It's our passion!

Along with Crypt Of The Wizard in London we are one of only two dedicated traditional Heavy Metal record shops in the UK and have become a place renowned for discovering and buying music from a range of independent and major labels. If we do not have what you are looking for in stock then we can probably source it for you - no matter how rare. Just ask! 

We are also specialists in Death Metal with nearly 40 years experience in the genre.

We are located on Trenchard Street (at the junction of Lodge Street) in Bristol city centre right behind the Bristol Beacon, 100 metres from our friends at the renowned metal pub - The Gryphon, and a short walk from the O2 Academy venue and the iconic Hatchet Inn.
