Criminally overlooked thundering Black Metal from the Czech Republic. Active for a few years in the late 90s, Entrails were a three-piece that released one full length and a split album. This band definitely should've been destined for bigger things.
This is an album that benefits from balance - extremely tight playing from all the band members, perfect guitar tone with plenty of evil bite but not crude, complex instrument playing but not so much that one could call self-indulgence, drumming that aids the flow of the music rather than being an impediment. One shouldn't expect to see the reinvention of the wheel here, this just is an album that gets far more things right than wrong. Riff-laden BM with melodic elements, as good as it can ever be.
